Code of Ethics
PSG News is committed to the highest standards of journalistic integrity, accuracy, and independence.
The editorial team of PSG News adheres to a strict code of ethics that governs every aspect of our journalistic work. These principles ensure that our reporting remains accurate, fair, independent, and accountable to our readers. Every journalist, editor, and contributor is bound by this code.
Accuracy and Verification
PSG News is committed to accuracy in all content. Every news, statement, or data must be verified from at least two reliable sources before publication. If an error occurs, we will correct it promptly, transparently, and with a clear correction note.
Independence and Impartiality
Our journalism is free from political, commercial, or personal interests. We do not accept payment, gifts, or favors from any party that could influence our reporting. Editorial decisions are made solely based on newsworthiness and public interest.
Fairness and Balance
We present news with fairness, giving all relevant parties an opportunity to respond. Opinion pieces are clearly labeled and separated from factual reporting. We avoid sensationalism and respect the presumption of innocence.
Privacy and Respect
We respect individual privacy rights. Intrusion into personal life is only justified when it serves a clear public interest. We are especially careful when reporting on minors, victims of tragedy, or individuals who are not public figures.
Transparency and Accountability
We are transparent about our sources, methods, and any potential conflicts of interest. We welcome feedback, criticism, and corrections from readers. Every article includes a byline, and corrections are clearly documented.
Source Protection and Attribution
We protect the identity of confidential sources when they face genuine risk. However, anonymous sources are only used when the information is vital and cannot be obtained elsewhere. We always verify the credibility of our sources before publication.
No Plagiarism or Fabrication
Plagiarism and fabrication are strictly prohibited. All content must be original or properly attributed. Any journalist found violating this principle will face immediate review and potential termination.
Every member of the PSG News editorial team signs this code of ethics upon joining. We conduct annual ethics training and maintain an independent ombudsman to review reader complaints.
If you believe any PSG News content violates this code of ethics, please contact our ethics committee. All reports are handled confidentially and reviewed within 3 business days.
